London-based newcomers Palace will release their debut EP Lost In The Night via Beatnik Creative on 20th October.
They supported Jamie T at his London comeback show and have sold-out their debut headline London shows at St. Pancras Old Church.
The alt-blues guitar band are quickly making a name for themselves as ones to watch.
Debut track ‘Veins’ racked up 50,000 streams in its’ first two weeks online and current single ‘Bitter,’ had over 20,000 streams in its’ first week online – they’re currently close to 200,000 combined plays. They’ve also had the critical praise to match from Clash, DIY, Esquire, NME and Noisey.
They recently had their first daytime play on BBC Radio 1, which follows from Zane Lowe making ‘Veins’ ‘Next Hype’ and support from Phil Taggart and Alice Levine, Lauren Laverne at BBC 6 Music and John Kennedy at XFM.
Palace will be touring the UK October and November (full dates below) and have already sold-out their debut headline shows at London’s St. Pancras Old Church.
The band is made up of close friends Leo Wyndham (vocal, guitar), Rupert Turner (guitar), Will Dorey (bass) and Matt Hodges (drums).
Their second ever gig was supporting James Iha of the Smashing Pumpkins at the 2000 capacity Bush Hall. The band have been since gathering a dedicated following and focusing on their first release.
Their music carefully oscillates between moments of broodiness to epic grandeur crescendos over lead man Leo Wyndham’s urgent vocals – touching on the blues of Peter Green, the pop sensibilities of Foals and the rock n roll attitude of Kings Of Leon’s early output.
The Lost In The Night EP was self-produced and engineered at their north London studio.
