Multiplier (EP LAUNCH) // 9th May // £4

Manchester based Multiplier release their debut three track EP in a limited edition CD format on Saturday May 9th 2015, with the digital version being available via Bandcamp from Monday 11th May 2015. It is a gateway to their widescreen, diverse and disparate sound. Plot a course between early Radiohead, Elbow, Doves and The Chameleons and you might be in the right kind of area.

Rich passionate vocals, guitar that shimmers and roars, pounding yet melodic bass and driving drums that interweave the songs rather than merely act as a foundation. Pop, rock, post-rock, shoegaze, it’s all in there, somewhere.

Andy and Phil met in 2011 using a voice and an acoustic guitar with no agenda in mind other than to craft songs that were aurally interesting. During the spring of 2012 Danny and Rod joined on bass and drums respectively and Multiplier made their debut at the tail end of that year, opening for the highly acclaimed ILiKETRAiNS at The Deaf Institute, Manchester. Further shows opening for touring bands as diverse as Six by Seven, MMX, 12 Dirty Bullets, The Woodentops and Ultrasound as well as a series of smaller venue gigs have seen the band develop and enhance their powerful and dynamic live sound.
