Live: The Delaplains w/ The Wax Collection + The Circles
“The Delaplains deal in a guitar music that combines beauty with that rush of youth – the soundtrack to a time when you believe that everything is possible” John Robb, Louder Than War
Debut EP ‘Gypsy Blood’ proved to be an outstanding first release from the band, receiving national airplay and hand-picked by Steve Lamacq for his show on BBC 6 Music. The EP also featured on NME.com before airplay in America led Minnesota label ‘Manic Pop! Records’ to release ‘Gypsy Blood’ on 7” vinyl in both the UK & America.
Second EP ‘The Other You’ was released in September. Produced by Lee Slater (The Vaccines, The Courteeners, Lana del Rey) it has already received critical acclaim ahead of its release on 7” on Vinyl Revival Records later this year.
“On the cusp of something special” – M.E.N City Life
“Timeless guitar pop perfection” – John Robb
“Melodic, honest & passionate. All the elements of a really good band” – Badly Drawn Boy
The Wax Collection
Fresh from recent support slots with Tim Burgess & Twisted Wheel, The Wax Collection join us with their lolloping, semi-psyche bourbon-beat-folk.
Birmingham trio The Circles complete the line-up after recently touring the UK with James Skelly and the Intenders.
